How we guide ourselves
42 years making history in agribusiness
Pró-Terra was born in Itaqui, Rio Grande do Sul, in the heart of Brazil’s largest rice-growing region. From the beginning, the focus was clear: to be the link between the world’s best technologies and the local food industry.
Over the decades, we expanded our operation to Paraguay, consolidating a presence in 100% of the Mercosur rice market. Today, together with our clients, we are responsible for 85% of the rice processed in the region.
Our history is marked by landmark projects, such as the assembly of Latin America’s largest grain processing complex, a project that redefined the sector’s standard.
Founded in Itaqui, RS
Pró-Terra is founded with a focus on parts and machines for the grain processing industry, serving the Rio Grande do Sul market.
Expansion and regional consolidation
The company expands its portfolio and begins serving clients in other states, establishing itself as a technical reference in Rio Grande do Sul.
Entry into the Paraguayan market
Pró-Terra opens an operation in Carmen del Paraná, Paraguay, beginning an international expansion that would make it a leader in Mercosur.
